Our trainer, Scott Walker, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, the ability to relay complex information in a relaxed and easy-to-understand manner, and humor to his training classes. His hands-on approach and the opportunity for discourse keep students engaged and training relevant to your specific industry.
Scott received a B.S. in Geology from the University of Alabama and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering (specialty in Occupational Safety & Health and Ergonomics) from Auburn University. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and an OSHA- Authorized trainer. Scott served as Section Chair for the American Society of Safety Professionals for many years and was awarded the Safety Professional of the Year for the State of Alabama.
With 30+ years of experience, he has performed industrial hygiene sampling on the EPA's first asbestos Superfund site, worked in aerospace manufacturing, worked as the Senior Safety Engineer for Briggs & Stratton Corporation and now as President of SAFETY1030, LLC.
Scott lives in Boulder, Colorado and spends his time running, biking, and hiking when he is not training the next generation of safety professionals.
