Unfortunately we now live in a world where we need to be cognizant of our surroundings whether at the baseball game, the mall or at work.
Our Active Attacker Awareness training is very hands-on. Our students learn what actions they can take to help save their lives and other's should the situation arise. The knowledge and skills that the student learns can be utilized not just at work -- but in any environment.
Some OSHA standards require annual refresher training. Our REFRESHER MIX class covers:
If needed, we can customize training for your needs.
We offer two LOTO courses:
Our 1-hour version covers the basics of the standard and is geared towards supervisors/managers.
Our more in-depth version lasts 2-3 hours and is designed for the "authorized" employee who will perform lockout/tagout.
What sets our LOTO training apart from others is that we not only cover OSHA 1910.147 in-depth, but we also discuss real-world examples of mistakes, misconceptions and violations that employees AND employers make. At the end of the class, our students have a thorough knowledge and appreciation of lockout/tagout.
Falls are the second leading cause of fatalities in the United States. Motor vehicle accidents are number one.
This class focuses on the employee whose job it is to climb and work at heights over four feet or whose work requires them to get within six feet of an edge. We cover:
Is my injury OSHA recordable or reportable?
In this class you will learn how to properly fill out the OSHA recordkeeping forms, learn about common mistakes employers make and we will cover what defines an OSHA recordable/reportable injury with real-world examples.
This training is required annually for all employees and when a new chemical is introduced. We cover:
Have you ever wondered what the difference is between safety glasses and regular glasses? Or how to tell the difference between them? What about how to know if your hearing protection is adequate for the noise that you are being exposed to? Are the gloves that you are wearing actually protecting you from the chemical that you are handling?
During this class we answer those questions and more as we cover various types of Personal Protective Equipment.
Nearly every day someone dies because they entered a confined space. Maybe they didn't know what a confined space was or they didn't know the requirements.
Students in this class will learn the differences between a confined space and a permit-required confined space. They will learn the dangers confined spaces contain and they will learn how to use a 4-gas meter so that they can measure the atmosphere in the confined space and determine if it is safe for entry.
Many of the Heat Stress classes that are offered only cover the dangers of working in the heat and signs/symptoms of over exposure. Our class delves deeper. We explain and discuss the heat stress equation so that our students understand the causes of over exposure, thus educating them on how to prevent it.
If you have employees who are exposed to an average of 85 decibels (dB) over an 8-hour shift, then you are required to have a Hearing Conservation Program. Part of that program is the requirement for your employees to have training in hearing conservation.
Not sure if you have a noise exposure issue? Contact us -- we can help with that, too.
There is much more to respiratory protection then just handing a respirator to an employee and directing them to wear it, e.g., training, medical evaluation, fit-testing, etc.
Contact us and we can walk you through each step.
Hot work doesn't necessarily mean working in the glaring sun or in a hot kitchen. Hot Work is any process that produces heat -- welding, brazing, cutting, soldering or burning. A Hot Work Permit is needed to protect employees from injury and to protect the facility from potentially burning down.
Our training covers how to conduct Hot Work, why a Hot Work Permit is necessary and how to complete a Hot Work Permit.
Because training is performed at your worksite, we adjust course content to fit your needs, allow your employees to ask unlimited questions and help ensure your employees have completed AND understand the training.
Our training is filled with real-world examples -- keeping it engaging and value-added.
We strive to instill safety & health values to workers young and old, new and experienced, because a trained employee is a safer employee and safe employees make for a safer workplace.
Each course is comprised of "mandatory," "elective," and "optional" topics. Mandatory topics are CORE awareness topics that must be covered per OSHA. The elective and optional topics are those that can be used based on YOUR workplace-specific needs.
We get a lot of questions about which course would be better for our employees. Our 10-hour is a good all-around introduction to safety that every worker should have. Whereas the 30-hour is more in-depth and is a course that every supervisor, lead, or safety representative should have.
In addition to your employees having a stronger safety & health knowledge base, you may find that:
These classes are an investment. Spending the time and money now pays you back exponentially when that severe injury or fatality does NOT occur -- thus potentially saving you millions.
